Specsavers PAC 2025: Registration open for optical and audiology clinical conference

Registration is now open for one of the sector’s largest clinical conferences, the Specsavers Professional Advancement Conference (PAC).
 
Taking place at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre (ICC) on Sunday, 14 September 2025, the annual event provides an exciting and comprehensive programme tailored for the community optics and audiology sector. It is open to all clinicians wherever you work. 
 
A full programme of continuing professional development
 
Delegates can look forward to a diverse range of session formats and practical experiences, including:
• Diverse session formats, featuring peer reviews and hands-on workshops

• Interactive CPD across all GOC domains, including for CLOs and therapeutic specialties
• WOPEC assessments, enabling attendees to complete MECS and glaucoma certification onsite
• A trainee-dedicated track, tailored for pre-registration optometrists and TCLO students
• Networking opportunities, with the chance to connect with peers and explore the exhibition
• A multi-track programme of expert speakers
• Exhibition spaces showcasing product and equipment suppliers, professional bodies, and academic institutions
 
Expert speakers and sessions
 
Confirmed keynote speakers include Prof Kathryn Saunders and Dr Byki Huntjens, who will discuss evidence-based myopia management. Dr Catherine Porter and Dr Ketan Parmar will cover binocular vision and paediatric eye care.
 
Ophthalmologists Mr Ahmed Bardan, Mr James Young, and Mr Richard Stead will present on managing ocular pathology in practice.
